Character's Name: Ertai (no known last name)
Character's Age: 27
Gender:male
Race/Class:anthromorph
Character's History/Background(be as detailed as possible): Ertai was born in a small cave in the Eternal Forest. He never met his father, though his mother, who was a weretiger like him, told him he was a strong individual who was well respected through the land. Ertai grew up with his mother for several years, exploring the mysterious forest every chance he got. Naturally curious, he often got himself into some sticky situations, but he always managed to get out of them somehow. One day Ertai's mother became extremely ill. Ertai did all he could to help her, but his mother's fate was sealed. Eventually, she died, leaving the young weretiger to fend for himself. Ertai had many adventures in the Eternal Forest as he grew up, something about the place making him grow up to be quite the impressive specimen. His specialty was that he was extremely agile, the trees his playground. Eventually, once he'd reached adulthood, Ertai decided to leave his forest home and seek out others like himself.
He found another anthromorph in what was once the Forest of the Wild. Her name was Ashara and almost instantly Ertai felt a strong attraction to her. The two grew quite close very quickly, and before either of them knew it, they had confessed their love for one another. The two made their home in the forest, and all seemed well...
...But then one day Ertai returned from a day of hunting to find Ashara gone. He didnt worry at first, but when she did not come home once night fell, his worry began. He spent the entire evening searching for her, but to no avail. Without sleep, he continued his search, looking all throughout the forest for his beloved, never giving up hope.
After months of searching, Ertai left the Forest of the Wild, his heart broken from the loss of Ashara. No longer was he as bright and cheerful as he once was, replaced with a silent, inwardly grieving persona. He traveled the land constantly, never truly feeling as though he belonged. At this point, war had begun to break out among the races. It was during the time of the human-shinobi war that a new chapter in his life opened up, showing even more of a change in him.
He was staying in a small human village just on the outskirts of human territory. Coincidentally, an army from the human forces were also camping in the small village, preparing to launch an assault on the shinobi territory nearby. Despite him being an anthro, the villagers were relatively kind to Ertai, as though they somehow sensed his inner grief. One night, on a cloudy evening, a tragedy occurred. The shinobi, having learned of the army stationed in the village, launched a pre-emptive strike, several platoons unleashing various killing techniques upon the humans, massacring not just the soldiers, but the villagers as well. Ertai remained as neutral as possible, though the sight of the villagers who had been kind to him dying made his blood boil. Eventually, he could hold back no longer. Leaping into the fray, he fought the shinobi warriors without fear. Unfortunately, while he was faster and stronger than most of the ninja, their magic was too much for the anthromorph. After falling from a powerful attack, Ertai felt his end nearing. It was then that the clouds suddenly parted, revealing a full moon. Despite the pain he was already in, Ertai felt an even greater one in his mind. Clutching his forehead, he let out a beastly yell. His body began to transform before the shinobi's eyes. In a matter of minutes, Ertai became a monster, a massive tiger with demonlike wings protruding from its back. That night, not a single shinobi survived to tell the tale.
Ertai awoke in a bed the next day. The surving humans told him that he had somehow saved them all. A captain in the army was also there. He extended an offer to Ertai to fight for them against the shinobi. For whatever reason, Ertai accepted. He remembered very little about the night before, though his head did ache every time he tried to remember. In the following years, he was one of the few anthromorphs who fought in the human-shinobi war, his specialty scouting and providing information on the shinobi's wherabouts.
When the war was over, he was awarded a medal of honor for serving loyally. Still, despite his acceptance, he felt empty inside, and thus it was hard for him to enjoy his praise. He still thinks about her, even to this day, and it is doubtful he will ever forget...
Character's Personality: Every so often his old self will arise, showing mischief, friendliness, and a carefree atitude. His usual persona these days is quiet and reserved, speaking only when spoken to.
Character's Appearance: Stands at 6'2". His build is muscular, but not brutish. He still wears a red leather vest, open most times, and slightly tighter pants(not as baggy as before). He has no need for shoes. Upon his head, he wears a bandage, a magical seal placed in the fabric in order to soothe the pain that sometimes gives him migrains. His tail is usually found curled around his waist, striped orange, black, and blonde just like the rest of his fur.
Anything special: In times of great stress, a hidden power will awaken in Ertai, causing him to transform into a demonic tiger of large proportions. This feat has only occured once however and is quite rare.
Weaknesses/Strengths: He is extremely fast, even the best of shinobi seemed to have difficulty exceeding him. He is quite agile, and uses his animalistic abilities well.
