The Dungeon, a place for scoundrels, drunkards, those with dark tidings, and sorrow-ridden sacks of meat to roam about. It was a place where the alcohol was strong, and the emotion of misery stronger, where a man could simply give up and die right at one of the tables. Among the folk that drowned themselves in misery was one who did not. There was one among them, a single soul who's fire was not quite ready to be blown out and stomped on. One woman, to be exact.
None other than Nyte Gnarus sat on one of the barstools, head leaned over so her bangs could gently hide her face from the prying eyes of the depressed. Both pale hands were curled around a mug that smelled strongly of alcohol, though the diuretic drink seemed to have taken little to no effect at all. The mug nearly empty, Nyte's pale silver eyes glanced slowly across the room. How in the name of Timat had she sunk this low? The World that she had known had, in but a few short years, fallen completely to peices. The land was torn asunder, wars were wages, thousands if not millions dead....and Catio lost. That strange man....he always came to her wandering mind now-a-days. Why did he plague her mind so? For the first time since she was six she had let another into her heart, had finally befriended someone besides Nox, her Dragoon Spirit. That proved to have been the wrong choice. Seperated, she had searched all over for her companion, but had found absolutely nothing. Now what was she? An outcast to Dragoon, and an enemy to everyone else, she was nothing. She was no one, lived no place, and had no one. She was Nyte, and together with Nox, she was alone.
From the right side of The Dungeon, a man in a cloak began moving closer to her gradually. He would occasionally move over, seat by seat until he finally reached the barstool right beside hers. He did not talk for a while, but instead stared at the counter infront of the two of them. Finally, after what seemed like an age, he spoke.
"You look lonely." He stated simply, not looking at her. Nyte did not answer in a hurry. She instead drained the rest of her mug and set it gently down on the bar counter. One eye peeked from 'neath ebon bangs to look sideways at the man.
"And if I am?" Nyte replied smoothly, her lips barely moving to allow the words any volume. The man in the cloak shrugged one shoulder, clearing his throat as if he had just recovered from a rather nasty bout of the cough.
"Most folk 'round these parts are. Don't blame 'em. Only the lowlifes come here anyhoots."
"Yourself included?" Nyte said quickly. The man was not prepared for this response, and turned his head slightly to look at the woman he had engaged in conversation with. Now, at this angle, Nyte could make out his facial features. Sallow sunken skin marred with scars, an eye milky white in colour, and a mop of chocolate-brown hair adorned his head, giving him a rather grotesque visage. With a sigh, the man nodded.
"Aye, myself included. No man can escape his fate it would seem. You seem lonely, but otherwise happ--"
"Oy, would y'look at this! Eyeless Eddie's got himself a girl!"
A loud and brash voice blurted from behind them. Turned her head ever so slightly, Nyte looked to see who had spoken up. It was a large burley man with biceps like treetrunks. His head was bald, but a thick beard covered his chin. His eyes were unfocused, and it was obvious that he was drunk. The man beside her frowned, and his marred face turned a slight crimson shade. Now, the burley man came over, heading right for Nyte. 'Eddie' or so he was called, stood up to intercept him.
"Leave her alone. She 'aint done nothing, y'hear me?" Eddie said, standing infront of the burley man. The big bearded man guffawed and simply pushed him away.
"Y'gotta share, y'know! I gone too long without the touch of a woman! Now that you gots yurself a gal, Eddie, y'won't mind, would yah?" With one hand, the burley man reached out as if to carress Nyte's cheek. Eddie didn't have time to protest before it was all over. In 5 seconds flat, Nyte had grabbed the man's arm, twisted it behind him, and thrown him bodily over her shoulder and into a table. The entire Dungeon went silent, all eyes on Nyte. Brushing some dirt off her sleeve, Nyte came to sit in the seat where she had been not moments before. Eddie, speechless, sat next to her.
"Look, I 'aint got nothin' to do with him. I'm sorry about--"
"Don't worry about it." Nyte responded cooly, ordering another drink. Within seconds, the drink was placed before her, and she paid the barkeep. Eddie had gone silent and merely starred at the counter again with his one good eye. This place....the Dungeon....it was a dangerous place. Scum roamed through the tables, dark dealings going on between them, while all the barkeep could do was feed them alcohol. This place wasn't for the weak of heart. It was a good thing that Nyte's heart was like a rock: Cold and uncarring. Otherwise recent events might have perturbed her. With a sigh, Nyte took another sip of her drink.
"And the cycle continues...."

A solitary figure robed in red drifted down the empty streets of the town, looking almost as if he were hovering. Rain was pouring heavily over his cloaked form, making his cloak look even darker silhouetted against the black buildings in the middle of the night. The only sounds produced were from the rain and his light footsteps. If one were to look at the man's face they would see a look of despair and loneliness covered by stray blond hairs that were missed when he put his hood up.
"Why...why am I here?" He asked out loud talking to no one in general. 'Catio...I don't like the look of this place...' Came a response from his head. "Well, well, Long time no contact Anhelo...Do you know anything about this place." He asked out loud, this time to Anhelo, not caring, seeing as there was no one around. 'I know that the Catio from 5 years ago wouldn't be caught dead in a place like this...You've changed so much...To think that losing one person who you barely knew could do this to you...' "Shut up!" he screamed out as he stopped moving, "You know she was the only friend I've ever had!" 'I'm sorry...I'd forgotten...
Catio was about to talk again when he heard the sound of running footsteps coming from behind him, along with what sounded like metal being scraped along cement. Immediately his hand reached for the hilt of his sword and spun around to see a large man running towards him dragging an axe along the ground. Catio withdrew his sword but kept it concealed under his cloak, when the man began to swing vertically at Catio with his axe, Catio sidestepped swiftly and stepped on the man's arm as the axe hit the path, making an audible snapping noise. Then Catio put the blade of his sword against the man's throat, "If you value your life I suggest running, now!" With this the man began to run away frantically, leaving his axe embedded in the ground. "Why...does everyone seem to attack me on sight?!" Catio...you have changed...more than I thought...
Catio started to walk down the street again, sword sheathed and fully robed, when he head the sounds of multiple running people, approximately 5 in number. "Think he brought his buddies?" Catio asked inwardly. 'Better hope he didn't...' Catio drew his sword again keeping it under his robe while turning around to see the same man accompanied by 4 others, all of them were unarmed and about the same size as the other man. "Well...Who's first?" He asked mockingly as he chanted Is Mucro No Lux Lucis his breath and threw his sword infront of the men. Then, lowering his head before yelling the final word Caecus!! causing his sword to emit a blinding flash of light which dazed the men long enough for him to retrieve his sword and jump silently to the roof of a nearby short building. "I don't feel like fighting right now," He thought to himself as he watched the men search for him while he was practically invisible against the night sky.
After a few minutes the men huddled together in a circle and started talking. Catio smirked as he Jumped down into the middle of the group and landed doing a leg sweep, knocking down all the men but two, the one he encountered first, and another one. He the proceeded to pick up the other man and throw him onto his 3 fallen buddies. Now, with just the initial man left Catio withdrew his sword from its scabbard and held out, blade pointing at the man, "What did I tell you about your life!" Catio snarled at the man before watching him run to a door, fearing that he was going to ask for more help Catio sheathed his sword and ran at the man, tackling him through to door, effectively knocking it off its hinges and sending it flying into the room. Once Catio had the man pinned to the ground he punched him in the face before smashing his head against the ground. After confirming that the man was knocked out Catio stood up and began to walk out of the building, taking care to note a sign on the wall, "The Dungeon...What an appropriate name."

There was a small commotion and, as Nyte stood, the door was knocked free of it's hinges right towards her. Casually lifting her leg, Nyte aimed a kick that split the door clean in two, sending the two halves sailing on either side of her. Fortunately, the two halves did not collide with anyone else. Nyte's eyes watched the man pummel the other into unconciousness, her mouth turning down slightly in a frown of sorts. What did this man think he was doing? Looking more closely, something pricked at Nyte's memory. Why did this man seem so familiar? His cloak covered all of him, so she couldn't be sure of anything. Not that she cared, of course. However, he had just knocked a door into her. Had she not been ready for it, that could have hurt, immensely. Then, as if nothing had happened, the man turned and made to leave the building. Oh? He had another thing comming.
"Excuse me, kind sir." She began darkly, lowering her leg from the kick slowly before continuing on. "That was a very dangerous thing to do. Punks like you need to watch what the hell they're doing. Now," at this point, a smirk appeared on her face. She walked over towards him, and it was obvious that she was taller than he was. Her eyes, silver as the moon, bared into his equally silver ones, almost as if staring into his soul. "I'm giving you to the count of five to apologize to everyone in this building."
The look on Nyte's face was dead serious. Anyone who had the guts to stand up to a face like Nyte's should be commended....whenever they get out of the hospital, or are being given honours at their funeral. She didn't draw her weapon at all, as she figured she would not need it. "1.....2.....3" She said, counting slowly, the smirk still on her pale face. "...4....." Now, she paused, quirking both of her brows at him. "Well?"

He heard multiple yells from in the room as the door went crashing into something, or someone. By the time all the yelling subsided he could only hear one voice, a female's, directed towards him. Before he had a chance to respond she was in front of him, when she demanded him to apologize he was about to punch for her stomach but something within him forbade him to, so instead he simply responded with, "Heh...You want me to apologize for self defense," He chuckled before continuing, "Good luck with that one," With that statement he pushed past her and finished walking outside onto the streets where it was still raining, and up to one of the men laying on the ground, the man was trying to stand up but Catio swiftly kicked him in the stomach, the men were on the ground in such a place that everyone in the bar could see him kick the man. "I wouldn't get up if I were you," Catio stated harshly. Catio then turned back to the woman, "And, now that five seconds is well beyond passed, what will you do about it?" 'Your new attitude is really starting to piss me off, Catio.
Catio then stood, rain pouring heavily against his fully enrobed form, no sources of light except for the occasional flash of lightning, and no sound but the murmuring of the people who had previously seen what Nyte could do and thought Catio a fool for challenging her. Catio was mentally preparing himself for anything, he didn't want to be caught off guard, "Be prepared for anything, Anhelo, I might need to call upon your power," 'Sure thing, Catio, good to see you still have some civility in you!'

Nyte's face split into a large grin. This man had guts, she'd give him that much. Her feet moved slightly, almost as if she were getting ready for something. Both hands flexed a closed into fists, relaxing moments afterwards. Murmurs rand through the bar, and the barkeep looked uneasily at Nyte. The girl waved a hand at him, as if assuring him that she would not do anymore damage to his bar. The taller female followed the shorter male out of the bar and, as he kicked the man on the ground, she sighed. Men these days were so brutal it was disgusting. Kicking a person while they were down....what a horrible thing to do. And she thought that she was bad. This man had absolutely NO civilty, manners, or any sense of honour whatsoever. As the man spoke to her, Nyte merely shrugged her shoulders defiantly. Waiting for his speech to end she sighed, almost as if to say 'Is that all?' A voice sounded in her head, clearly Nox's. 'Don't do anything rash, Nyte...these past years, you've changed...' Nyte sighed. 'Yes, I know Nox. I won't kill him if that's what you're worried about.' Now, dismissing Nox's complaints, she looked directly at the man, still unable to see his face due to his cloak. She a slight laugh, she spoke.
"Five."
Nyte charged bodily at Catio, her speed unnerving. The time that Catio had fought her, she had a weapon hampering her movement. Now with no such thing, she was free to do as she pleased. Her ebon hair, now plastered to her face from the rain, billowed out behind her as she ran pell-mell at him. A crash of lightning illuminated her, silver eyes staring at him almost as if in blood lust. Dashing right at him, she bent over slightly, her shoulders aiming for his gut. If everything went according to her plan, he would have been too surprised to react. Her shoulder would connect with his cut, and she would tackle him to the ground.

Catio merely watched as she followed him out the door, "Theres something about her...something familiar...I just can't place my finger on it..." 'I don't see how...you tend not to talk to anyone...' "You can't say you don't feel it t- Whoa!" Catio was so enveloped in his conversation with Anhelo, by the time he realized Nyte said anything she had already closed half of the distance between them. The last thing he could think of doing to remove possibilities of getting hit was jumping, he jumped when she was about to hit him, he smiled thinking that he cleared her but was sadly mistaken. Nyte instead crashed into his shins causing him to flip over forward, Catio did his best to land on his feet but ended up landing facing away from her on his knees, from the speed of the flip his hood had come down and his hair had flown out freely, he hurried to get to his feet before realizing his hood had fallen then quickly fixed that problem before turning to face her again, hoping she hadn't seen anything.
Now was Catio's turn to attack, but instead he merely spoke softly, Is Mucro No Lux Lucis , Dux Ducis Meum Ingressus! If someone could see his feet, the would notice that they had begun to glow a soft shade of white. Catio then ran towards Nyte, making a slight curve in his path to the right. When he was almost at her he jumped slightly and swung a kick towards her.

Nyte felt herself collide with his shins. It was strange....just by combating this person, she was reminded of five years ago. The memory of the arena resurfaced in her mind, fresh like a newly inflicted wound. She stood behind Catio, teaching him the basics of self defence and offence...She shook her head violently to clear her thoughts. That did not matter right now. HE did not matter right now. All that mattered was teaching this punk a lesson.
The man began to quietly chant something under his breath, and Nyte's eyes narrowed. Her hearing was supurb after years of honing her senses, and she recognize some of the words. How does he... she began thinking before she was inturupted by the man running at her. He was quick, though she could pinpoint each of his steps and calculate how far they would take him. Calling on only a fraction of Nox's power, Nyte ALSO began to murmer under her breath, for all the world sounding like a soft breeze more than a voice.
"Vita Cruor Loricatus.."
As Catio neared her, she raised her arm to sheild her face. Deep crimson tendrils suddenly engulfed her arm, coating it in what appeared to be blood. Catio's foot met the small coating of bloody tendrils with a sickening squelch, almost as if he had wounded Nyte. However, Catio's foot was not released. The tendrils wrapped around his leg, holding fast. Nyte grinned. Turning to the side, she heaved with all her might as if she were going to throw Catio.
"Eximo."
The tendrils released, the momentum of the throw immense. Catio, if he did not think fast, would be sent flying straight into the side of a building opposite of them. The tendrils of crimson seemed to receed back into her arm, into the flesh itself. Nyte did not give Catio a chance to recover. She lunged after him, trailing him closely. Stopping right before he would collide with the building, she murmered again.
"Obscurum Culmen..."
From her outstretched arm, a wave of semi-transparent shadow cut through the air. It formed a pillar of sorts and, with a sneer, Nyte aimed the pillar directly at Catio's chest. He had little chance to dodge the pillar, and if he didn't it would force him through the wall of the building and out the other side. Nyte suddenly sighed.
"I DO hope that the family living there is out doing business at the moment..."

Catio smiled behind his hood as he heard the noise upon impact with Nyte's arms, but happiness quickly turned to shock as instead of falling to the ground he felt something close around his leg, looking down it look almost like his leg had fused with her arm. Without notice Catio was flung towards a building, he made sure to keep his back to the building as to sustain the least amount of damage, when Nyte ran closer and shot the pillar at him he brought his arms up to block the brunt of the blast, when the pillar collided with his arms he was sent flying straight through the house, crashing through glass, wood, and concrete alike, when he finally emerged from the other side of the building in a plume of dust and debris he slammed into a solid concrete wall and slumped down against it, his cloak now half off and his hair, heavy from the rain, was pressed against he body every which way.
Looking down, Catio spoke, "I guess I wasn't prepared for everything," Laughing slightly at his own stupidity as a trickle of blood seeped its way out the corner of his mouth. Struggling to his feet, using the wall as a support, he started walking his way slowly towards his opponent, readjusting his cloak so that he was covered totally before the debris completely cleared, "Anhelo?" he asked mentally almost as if it was some sort of signal, 'Ready,' came the single word response from his dragon spirit. With that Catio started speaking softly, Tendo Mihi... Then yelled the last word as he began to run quickly at her, Loricatus!! In a brilliant flash of light, a breastplate and arm-guard appeared on his white robe under his cloak, before the light subsided Catio had already covered half of the distance Nyte when it looked like he was about to collide with her he shoved his armoured fist toward her chest thinking to himself, "I'm not going down...that easy..."

Nyte was now in a fighting stance, her fists held loosely infront of her. Her legs were slightly spread, allowing for both fortification and mobility. It was the same stance Nyte had taught Catio those 5 long years ago. As a trained warrior, Nyte was adept at hand-to-hand combat. She watched his moves, taking into account both distance and speed. However, there was one thing that startled her. There was a bright flash of light, unknown in both origin and effect. Mentally, she called for Nox. 'Nox... lend me a bit of your power. I'm not sure what that was, but it can't be good.' Of course, Nyte. Nyte's eyes suddenly clouded for a moment, a crimson haze befalling her vision. It was gone in seconds, but the effects were obvious. Her shadow on the ground had changed. It now appeared that it was wearing armour, though Nyte herself was not. That was one of the advantages of having the Dragoon Spirit of Darkness; you could hide such things with ease.
As Catio's fist came towards her, Nyte's hand shot out. With a loud claping sound, she caught the fist in question, and tightened her grip. Her grip was like a vice and, she could have easily broken his hand there and then. However, 5 years of bitterness had taught her to be cruel. Twisting his arm around, she held it behind him in a painful hold, her fist still clenching his like a vice. Like this, her lips were right next to his ear. He would feel her hot yet gentle breath on his skin.
"Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play in the dark, kid?"
A truely fearsom grin spread across her face, almost as if she were inticed by bloodlust. Giving his arm a final twist, she pushed him forwards gently so that he would stumble. Then, without waiting for him to recover from the stumble, sh reaised her booted leg, and kicked. She kicked, and kicked HARD. The kick would land squarly in his lower back if he did not find a way to dodge. If one had ever been kicked in the lower portion of the spine, they could vouch that it was NOT pleasant. The rain that fell made Nyte's hair stick together and to her face, giving her a malicious and slightly evil looking demeanor. Would he get up after that? Or would he stop pestering her so she could go back inside and finish her drink?

Catio sighed and thought 'Ah...Not again' as Nyte grabbed his hand, and he cringed and heard an audible pop as she wrenched his arm behind him and dislocated his shoulder. It took all of his mental strength to stop from screaming in pain, this was worse than any pain he'd felt before and he was trying to get Anhelo to suppress it and didn't hear Nyte speak, even though it was directly into his ear. The pain was beginning to subside when Nyte twisted his arm again making the pain come back tenfold, when she pushed him forward his legs didn't move, instead he just fell forward, then it came, the kick landed square between his shoulder blades, part of the small area of back that is protected by his armour, the force of the kick sending him face first into the concrete road at an alarming rate.
When his face collided with the ground a cloud of shrapnel flew out around his hood, and within seconds if someone looked they would see blood pooling out from his hood where the shrapnel was. Catio thought for a second, 'Anhelo, concentrate on sealing whatever cuts are on my face.' Then, not that anyone could see it, the numerous cuts on his face glowed a low shade of white and became small scars fairly quickly. Catio stood up slowly and turned towards Nyte, below his nose was visible on his face, but it was also covered in blood, giving him an eerie vampire-esque look as he spoke, "It's going to...take more than that...to keep me down." When he finished the sentence he coughed, blood spraying out of his mouth as he grabbed his arm and popped it back into socket, feeling no pain partly because of Anhelo, and partly because that whole area was numb. Catio then couldn't think of any way to penetrate her defences so he instead decided to take a few steps back and get into a defensive stance himself as he thought.

Nyte merely sneered, one hand dismissively raising and then falling in the air in a motion of indifference. She concentrated for but a moment before her dark armour dissapeared from her shadow. She now stood in nothing but her regular clothes in front of the man in armour. This was a bold move indeed. Either she thought herself above him and did not need armour, or she truly wished to end this now. Turning her head slightly, her eyes narrowed.
"This has drawn on long enough, boy. I've no need for trivial matters such as this. It is clear to each of us."
With this, she turned around sharply, her silky ebon hair catching the wind and billowing out behind her. The rain had thourally soaked her hair, clothes, and flesh, but it didn't seem to bother her at all. In fact, it looked almost as if she enjoyed it. Non-chalantly, she began walking away from the other dragoon. She stopped for a moment, a pause in both movement and voice. Without turning to Catio, she spoke.
"You seem like the next Atlus; you bear the tell-tale signs of carrying the world on your shoulders. A word of advice, boy; if you're going to hell, don't take the world with you. There are some of us who actually prefer life to death."
With that, she began to gently walk away down the street. She did not even care to go back to the bar. She merely began to face back into the shadows from whence she came. It was always like that, and thats the way that she liked it.

As Nyte's hand rose and fell dismissively Catio released from his defensive stance and watched her turn around. He merely stood there listening through her first words, but after her comment on him carrying the world on his shoulders he could only think of one way to respond. Catio leaned forward yelling, "My world has already come crashing down around my shoulders, why would I waste my energy carrying everyone else's while all they think about is discrimination and prejudice, I turned out the way I am because of that prejudice, his memory flashed back to that night five years ago when he met Nyte, the night he threw that shopkeeper into the crowd of people. Catio snapped out of his flashback to notice Nyte was almost disappearing into the shadows.
"Oh no you don't" He thought to himself before mumbling, "Pupillus," then saying at a normal level while making small hand motions under his crimson robe, "Indignatio Judicium." A small bolt of light shot down from the black sky and hit the ground in the shadows Nyte had walked into, sending rubble shotting in all directions and illuminating the shadows completely while Catio began to run at her, the sound of his footsteps covered by the sound of the bolt hitting the ground, when he was about a metre away he yelled, "I'm sick of people not finishing what they've begun!" With this he performed a diving tackle at her midsection hoping to bring her to the ground but his hopes weren't very high because of what has happened with all his other attacks.

Nyte heard him yelling, and his words struck a chord within her. His world had come crashing down? HIS world was full of prejudice?! Nyte turned around, a snarl on her face as the bolt collided with the ground just to her left. She was caught in a shower of debris, one rather large chunk opening a wound across her cheek and another across her forehead. She did not react, did not move a muscle, did not move to protect herself. She merely stood there as the debris hit her, opening small cuts and semi serious wounds on her exposed flesh. It didn't matter. The anger in her eyes was unlike Catio had ever seen her. He had seen her miffed, five years ago, but this... THIS was the real deal. Hatred flashed in her moon-like eyes as he ran towards her in a tackle. She opened her arms as if welcoming him into a hug.
When he was close enough in his tackle, she grabbed the fabric at his shoulders and rolled backwards tossing him from her. She didn't wait, did not give him a chance to get up. Snarling madly, she heard Nox's cries of protest as she stalked towards him. There was a small ripple of shadow, and her staff appeared in her hand in its full staff form. Before he could get up, she was on top of him, straddling him with one leg on each side of his torso; her knees were placed painfully on his wrists, restricting the movement of his hands to all but nothing. Leaning forwards she placed her staff lengthwise across his neck with one hand, grabbed him by the hair with her other hand, and leaned her face in close to his. Her face was a twisted mask of blood and rage, hatred flowing from her eyes like fire.
"Don't speak to me of discrimination, boy! You know nothing! The true pain of discrimination, the suffering that prejudice brings... the wounds they leave are so insignificant on your body you whelp!"
She paused now, easing up on the pressure of her staff, allowing him just a bit more air. There was but a moment of silence before she spoke again.
"I used to know a man... no, a boy....he had dealt with probably much more than you would ever hope to come against. He... always had a smile on his face; he was ever cheerful. He had it tough, but he never gave up. Do you realize just how DEPLORABLE you are compared to him?! Be thankful for what you have, you pathetically presumptuous fool! If your world has indeed come crashing down around you, pick up the pieces instead of concentrating on senseless fights! Do you think that this world we live in now was created without mistakes and destruction?! You monstrously debauched cretin! You're a disease-ridden practitioner of ignorance! Never let me see you again, or I swear, I WILL not hesitate to kill you, you loathsome wretch!"
She roared, panting slightly. By now, everyone had come out of the surrounding buildings to see what was going on. Nyte looked up, almost as if seeing these people for the first time. Their faces seemed scared, terrified almost. Mothers were hiding the eyes of their children, and men looked on with quaking knees. This was how it always was...one would think that, after a life of exposure to this reaction, one would be used to it. Nyte's face fell for but a second before she regained her composure. Looking back down at Catio, she sneered in contempt at him. In one motion, she released her staff from his throat and stood, stepping not to gently away from him. Looking around at the people, she sighed inwardly. She'd lost it...in public too. Nox was speechless. He had never seen her in such a state. 'Nyte...are you... alright?' her dragoon spirit asked cautiously. Nyte grunted once in response. She began walking away, only to notice she was limping. Looking down, she saw a fair sized gash with debris still embedded in the wound. She growled once, reached down, and tore it out of her flesh before tossing it over her shoulder. Now, she limped away, back down the street, a spot of blood accompanying her on the ground every so often from her leg. She didn't care where she was going. As long as it was away from this idiot. Nox tried talking to her again. 'Nyte...answer me. Are you alr--'
"Yes, I'm FINE, Nox."
She said out loud without realizing it. Nox was silent for a moment before she heard a sigh from him. 'That's not what I meant and you know it. What happened back there? You completely lost your cool!'Nyte paused for a moment as well, mulling it over in her mind. She sighed heavily as she limped.
"Yeah... Yeah I know. I apologize. Let's drop it, okay?"
'But Nyte, you--'
"I SAID, let's DROP IT."
She said forcefully before finding a nice bench that no one was using. She sat down and began examining the wound on her leg. It would need tending to but... not now. Not right now. Now, Nyte merely leaned her head back so that the rain fell on her pale face. Inwardly she thought,
Well...THAT was different.
