Karina had long since stepped into the portal, reluctantly at first (for logic told her that something was offset) and passed through with Omio, her impromptu professor. The sensation of passing through dimensions was strange and it made her stomach upset as well as her senses.
But the ride had ended as quickly as it came and she stepped out, feet wobbly as they touched solid ground despite the short time spent in said portal. Curious eyes looked up around her and the first thing that noticed was the absolute change of atmosphere.
Bleak...so very bleak....Shadows that shifted within shadows roamed and the sky....void...empty of any beauty in was blessed with during day or night. Karina could not even tell what time it was.
A cold breeze ruffled her clothes, brushing freezing whims against her soft cheeks, sending a shiver down her spine.
This...was Decimus Nocturne?

Omio was the one that was still standing there - unphased by the portal due to the frequent use of the spell. "I apologise if it made you feel ill. Teleportation sickness does happen if you don't teleport often." He waited for her attention again.
"As you may already know with magic, the creation of spells relies on multiple sources. One of which is the land you draw from. Fortunately, Decimus Nocturne has many, many sources, and they are almost endless, so draw as need be. Now - you may know this already, but there are 8 human dimensional elements to create spells with." he pointed a finger to create a coloured orb for each. "Wind, Water, Fire, Earth, Light, Dark, Kinetic, and Psychic. and by using ratios of these elements, you can create great mounds of spells."
He silenced himself to bring out merely 4 water scripts, 1 kinetic, and 1 psychic. "Watch." He'd merely slap the 4 together, and out of the scripts came a few freezing lances - all psychically controlled by him - he hurled them at a nearby tree and watched as they impaled the tree with a bit of ease. "That was the 'Freeze Lancer' spell. Give it a shot yourself. Just don't aim where I am, please." And he would let Karina try a spell that she desired to cast. He could only hope that she would understand all that he said. The light orbs he had summoned earlier were still glowing.
