Zhou Quan was born in the winter of the snake Just in time for the first snow to fall. He was Born in to a wealthy and influential family As he grew older he was schooled in many of the martal arts as well as art poetry and literature.
As the second son his place in the world was set from birth his brother the first born of the family would take over his farthers place in social standings as for Quan him self he would be expected to Join the Imperal armys of the Samurai empier so that he might gain honer for him self and his family name so he was also taught in the ways of war Tactics Troop training and how to behave like an officer quikly mastering several weapons and becoming some what of a scholar to the battle field.
Apon his first year of taking his duties as an officer he quickly became noticed by commander Licami as he lead his troops to victory time and time again Quan became promted for his actions in until he finaly took the field as a commander it was in this time that he was assigned to the out post of Mihaul Grin a fortress on the westen fronter of the empier seven months passed in relative quietness Quan took this time to follow other persuits out side evey day soldering and could often be found in the town of Mihalon when off duity in this time he spent his time Painting even learning carpentry and blacksmithing and using these talents he constucted a new Halberd and armour As well as other items and trinkets.
But even in these peacefull times he keeped a state of readyness that seemed to be reflected by the troops under his command when war broke out again Quan found him self besiged by the enemy for four days the fortress of Mihaul Grin fort off the attackers dispite taking heavy casualty as the enemy desperately tryed to get its first foot hold in its conquest before the high lord genarel Mieomotsu Ictash lord protecter of the Azuki empier could rush to Zhou Quan's aid in fending off the agressing army,
In the final hours of the sixth day of the siege the opposing army withderw from its position to regroup for another massive assult on Mihaul Grin Zhou Quan knowing full well That the fortress would hold for another assult he quickly deviced a plan to save the remaning towns people the injured and most of his remaning troops of the three thousand men he had with him only 1332 had servived the seige 414 of which where wounded retaining only five hundred solders that had been picked from volenters stayed with Zhou Quan as the rest left the shatered fortress.
As dawn rose over the hills on the seventh day the frost gently glinting in the early morning sun Zhou Quan and his five hundred stood out side the gates to the now empty fortress Given up hope that renforcments would make it in time he ment to confuse the enemy and allow the servivers of the fort to escape Standing for just a moment he ordered his men to stay completly scilent until they were almost on top of the enemy he raised his hand to order the charge keeping his force in a concentrated form he spear headed the enemy army seending the early morning ranks of enemy solders how where just getting ready to muster sprawling for weapons as the few sentrys were cut down and Zhou Quans Five hundered pored in to the enemy camp makeing a B line for the enemy commander so fierce was there attack that most of the enemy army of almost fithteen thousand strong fell in to panic and disarray most begain to flee thinking that the renforces had arrived to assit the fort and crush the enemy and that they where now caught by a vast supiror force they turned and ran,
The battle raged on for an hour before the remainder of the army that had not fled brought there forces to bear against the troops to Zhou Quan heaverly out numbered they continued to fight until it was to much Zhou Quan resorted to gorilla tactics on his retreat to save what was left of his men It was here that he recived a wound that almost clamied his life if it where not for his own men that pushed the enemy back one last time to carry him from the battle field as they fully retreated.
Zhou Quan Was rewarded for his sevice to the shogun and was prometed for his bravery it had taken two days for the enemy to completly recover from the attack that had left 2378 dead and to returen thoughs that had fled to there rankes, In this time high lord genarel Mieomotsu Ictash had arrived with the bulk of the imperal army, now out numberd the attacking army begain to retret and to dig in, Zhou Quan now held the rank of General he returend from that battle with 57 men and an impressive wound Because of his substantial victory at Mihaul Grin the high lord saw greatness in him and took him under his wing to sucseed him, In the following months Mieomotsu Ictash taught Zhou Quan about milatary strategy he taught him every thing he new and Zhou Quan exceled from these lessons to gain victory over the enemy and contiued to increase his rank, eight years in to the campain High Lord genarel Mieomotus fell ill and passed away leaving at his request Zhou Quan to take his postion, Zhou Quan pushed forwared claming mor territory for the Empier pushnig the enemy to defeate four months passed from Ictash's death and the imperal army had routed the last of the enermy from there positions and now stood on the walls of there capital city,
As the city fell it marked the end of the war the last few enemys would be swepted up like bandits it ushered in a time of peace for the samurai Zhou Quan recived orders to returen to the emprial palace to join in the festivates of the Shogun as his wife had given birth to his first born son Gennosuke Traverling back along the roads with a retinue of twenty loyal men as he went on ahead of the other high ranking officers that had also recived summons he was meet by some vilagers that had left there home to seek help telling some story of a monster terrorizing there town, not beleving in such things Quan and his mean made a detour to the town to kill the tiger or what ever beast that was plaging these superstitious villigers apon arriving to find that the town was actuly the start of a small city Quan and his men set about tracking the beast after two days of searching and getting to know the city and its people they tracked the creature to its dwellings a mine entrence marked its position the tracks where larger then they had expected for a beast,
They aproched the cave enterance four of the locals had joined them in the search but they remained in the forest's edge as they moved in surounding the entraince a low rumble ecoed ot of the cave they moved closer when the creature burst from the cave in a charge trampling two of the solders and carving one open with a chunk of meatl that it was useing as a cleaver it was said that you colud hear the battle in the city bellow the screams of both monster and man as weapons bonced off or piced the monsters fleash and they in turn where cut down like so much weat as the creature gave out one last roar and there was silents as the dust setteled the locals looked on the bodys of Quans men lay strewn across the ground Zhou Quan held his Halberd in its chest breathing heavly from exhaustion as he bleed from over a dozen cuts and wounds he held up the reptilian creature its fangs still driping venom its body fell forward no longer having the energy to hold it up it collapsed on top fo him in a spwaled mess its blood and venom poreing in to his wounds he passed out only to awake once more as he was carred down the hill by the pesants that had traveled to the cave with him with the loss of blood and pioson in his vains this time when he closed his heavy eyes the last of his life left him.
